Top 4 Ways to fortify your Home’s Front Door Security

Your home’s front door plays an important role in welcoming guests into your lovely home. However, it’s also an entry point for uninvited or unwanted guests. Most home break-ins occur via the front door, particularly one with various vulnerable parts. Fortunately, there are many ways of rectifying the common issues with your front door security. These methods of fortifying your home’s front door security are intended to offer you the best possible results. Be sure to layer your security rather than just focusing on one way of enhancing your front door security. 1. Install a security door Security doors come in various designs, shapes, and strength. They are made of different materials, and thus, you can purchase old wrought iron doors or even the super see-through mesh. Other security doors are made of steel or aluminium. These doors are designed to allow you access your house safely while keeping intruders at bay. While security doors offer some level of protection, an expert burglar with the right equipment and enough time can compromise locks of any door. Therefore, make sure that your door is installed by a professional. Attaching a high-quality security door to a poor frame or leaving a big space at the edges offers good leverage with a crowbar. This will reduce the door’s effectiveness. A great combination of efficient surveillance cameras and a professionally-installed security door lower the chances of an intruder getting into your home. Besides, you can consider hiring a security service provider to patrol your home regularly. 2. Upgrade Locks Your front door’s lock hardware can either make or break your property’s security. If these locks have certain inherent flaws that intruders can exploit, then, your overall home security is at risk. Using the wrong is only one of the concerns. You should be aware of what your front door lock is vulnerable to. Can it be opened by bump keys? Is the metal strong enough such that it can’t be drilled or broken by use of blunt force? Can the lock prevent covert and violent entry? If you haven’t made a point to upgrade your locks, it’s time to perform a quick search and get the most trusted front door lock brands. It’s wise to change the locks if they are substandard. 3. Fortify your door hinges Door hinges keep your home’s door hung properly on the frame. They are an integral part of the overall front door infrastructure. Whenever burglars realize that they can’t bypass your locks, they will attack your door hinges. If these hinges are not correctly installed, the burglar can dislodge the entire door out of the frame and access your home. Get someone who understands the nature of the doors you have installed in your home to inspect and fortify your door hinges. The expert can add minor components that can enhance your front door security. For instance, using improved security studs, corrugated pins, and top quality 3-inch set of screws make it difficult for your door hinges to get compromised. 4. Strengthen glass surfaces Many doors are very close to windows. Some doors have windows or glass on them. If not addressed, such issues can result in security damage to your front door. You can address these issues using two ways. Remove the glass to the point that someone who smashed it may not reach their hand through to manipulate the thumb turns. Place strong metallic bars over the bars. Place these bars in such a way that someone can’t reach the glass through them. Conclusion Fortifying your home’s front door is essential when it prevents intruders from accessing your home. Besides, it’s the right way of making sure that your loved ones and valuable items in your home are safe. sponsored topics Pallet Rack Shelving

The Edward Snowden Interview Closed-circuit television In recent years, the use of body worn video cameras has been introduced as a new form of surveillance, often used in law enforcement, with cameras located on a police officer's chest or head. Video surveillance has generated significant debate about balancing its use with individuals' right to privacy even when in public. Special cameras for some of these purposes include line-scan cameras and thermographic cameras which allow operators to measure the temperature of the processes. With the addition of fixed cameras for the active traffic management system, the number of cameras on the Highways Agency's CCTV network is likely to increase significantly over the next few years. The cameras send the feed to a central control center where a producer selects feeds to send to the television monitors that fans can view.  New York C...

Security company in Bellevue vandalized

BELLEVUE, Neb. (KMTV) - An Omaha home security company based out of Bellevue is using its own camera to help track down a thief who stole items from outside their building. Chris Malmberg, the owner of Omaha Security Systems Inc. says an unidentified man stole nearly $300 worth of landscaping Sunday night. "The motion sensors went off and I got a notification on my phone that he was there. We saw him take the plants, we watched him drive away and then immediately contacted police," said Malmberg. "He was real nervous, but he ended up stealing shrubbery, Hosta plants, I mean - never in my life have I ever known somebody to steal landscaping." Malmberg said the plants could be replaced, but what's frustrating is that this is one of several vandalism incidents his business has experienced since OSSI moved into the building near Jefferson and Mission Ave. "We've had vandalism, we've had items stolen, or attempted to be stolen, with the security that we...
