KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 (Bernama) -- Efforts to ensure national security and peace besides issues concerning immigration and foreign workers are among the main agendas that would be given emphasis by the Home Ministry. Its minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said other issues that would also be given attention were reducing the crime rate and prevention of drug abuse as well as matters related to the Malaysian Volunteers Department (Rela). These issues would be taken up to the Cabinet Meeting expected to be held on Wednesday, Muhyiddin told reporters after being sworn-in and taking the oath of secrecy together with 12 other Cabinet ministers before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V at Istana Negara today. "My aspiration is to ensure that national security and peace remain preserved and to discharge the task entrusted by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. "We want the security aspect to be part of the issues to be stressed to the people. Insya Allah, I will do what is the best," said the president of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).....
